A runner-up finish from Ashlyn Keeney helped Liberty High to a runner-up team performance at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division meet on Thursday at Birdsall Park in Cedar Falls.

Class 4A second-ranked Linn-Mar won the team title with 42 points while No. 12 Liberty High was second with 72 points and 3A No. 2 Dubuque Wahlert was third with 84.

Western Dubuque was fourth with 96 points followed by ninth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie with 102. City High was seven with 145 points.

Liberty High had three runners finish in the top 15 on its way to its runner-up team finish led by Keeney who was second behind Linn-Mar senior Micah Poellet in a time of 19:04.5.

Cami Mac was fourth in a time of 19:23.1 while freshman Cori Mac was 15^th in 20:06.4.

Rowan Boulter placed 23^rd in 20:21.3 to lead City High while Lilly Reynolds was 26^th in 20:31.1

The eighth-ranked Liberty High boys had five runners finish in the top 20 on its way to a runner-up finish.

Fourth-ranked Cedar Falls had five of the top six finishers and cruised to the team title with 20 points while Liberty High was second with 68.

Fifth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie was third with 71 and No. 10 City High was fourth with 122.

Christian Montover led Liberty High placing seventh in 16:44.4 while Caleb Schillinger was 10^th in a time of 16:47.4.

Bowen Gryp, Aidan Decker and Jack Kinzer finished 16^th, 17^th and 18^th for the Lightning.

Truman Thompson led City High with a ninth-place finish in a time of 16:46.9 and Noah Carey was 2^nd in 17:18.8.
