As the cross country postseason approaches there is a new team atop the Class 1A girls rankings.

Regina made its season debut as the top-ranked team in Class 1A on Wednesday when the Iowa Association of Track Coaches released its most recent rankings.

The Regals were third last week but jumped past Pekin and into the top spot previously held by Hudson.

Regina finished in front of Hudson at the North Linn Invitational on Saturday.

Solon remained fourth in the Class 3A rankings while Liberty High dropped six spots to No. 12 in the 4A rankings.

In the Class 4A boys rankings Liberty High rose two spots to eighth while City High moved up four spots to 10^th and West High came in at No. 15.

Solon held its spot at fourth in the Class 3A boys rankings and Clear Creek Amana moved up to No. 11.

Liberty High junior Ashlyn Keeney is fourth in the latest Class 4A individual rankings while Clear Creek Amana sophomore Haidyn Barker is No. 19 in the 3A rankings.

Regina senior Annalee Bartels is fifth in the Class 1A rankings while teammate Mya Whitaker is No. 25.

Clear Creek Amana senior Brandon Barker is No. 10 and Solon junior Gabe Hinman is No. 26 in the Class 3A boys rankings.
