City High went 1-2 at the Mississippi Valley Conference quadrangular at Cedar Rapids Prairie on Tuesday.

The Little Hawks defeated Class 5A No. 12 Cedar Rapids Prairie 22-25, 25-22, 19-17 and fell to eighth-ranked Dubuque Hempstead 25-16, 18-25, 15-6 and Cedar Rapids Jefferson 29-27, 25-20.

City High moved to 7-10 on the season with its 1-2 performance on Tuesday.

Alia Vanderhoef led City High with 26 kills while Claire Ernst had 25 kills and 24 digs for the Little Hawks.

Makayla Ribble had 78 assists, 19 digs and four ace serves and Maya Morales had 37 digs.
