City High went 2-2 at the Bettendorf Invitational on Saturday going 2-1 in pool play before falling to Class 5A No. 11 Bettendorf in bracket play.

The Little Hawks moved to 6-8 on the season with the 2-2 performance on Saturday that featured wins over Davenport North (21-19, 21-16) and Burling (21-11, 21-18).

City High fell to Clinton 21-18, 19-21, 14-16 in pool play before host Bettendorf defeated the Little Hawks 28-26, 26-28, 15-12 in bracket play.

Makayla Ribble recorded the 1,000^th career assists on Saturday while finishing the day with 109 assists.

The junior setter also had 29 digs and seven kills for City High.

Alia Vanderhoef had 32 kills and 10 digs while Claire Ernst added 24 kills and 21 digs and Sara Cassady had 21 kills.

Joslyn Becker added 14 kills and Ruby McDonough had 10 kills and three ace serves.

Senior Maya Morales had a team-high 45 digs while Morgan Turner added 24 digs.
