City High rebounded from a rocky start and got back on the winning track with a 19-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-14 win over Dubuque Wahlert on Thursday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division matchup in Iowa City.

The Little Hawks improved to 4-6 on the season and 2-4 in MVC play while Dubuque Wahlert dropped to 5-15 and 1-5 in Mississippi Division matches.

Alia Vanderhoef led City High with 11 kills while Claire Ernst and Sara Cassady each had nine kills for the Little Hawks.

Makaya Ribble had 47 assists to go with 21 digs and five kills.

Maya Morales had 19 digs for City High.
