After four straight wins following three weeks outside of the Class 3A top Solon is once again a ranked team.

Solon (4-2) returned to the 2A top-10 for the first time since an 0-2 start to the season on Monday when the Associated Press released its most recent football poll.

The Spartans are ninth in the 2A poll following a 42-14 win over then fifth-ranked Mount Vernon on Friday.

Solon is one of three Your Prep Sports area teams in this weeks’ poll as Regina and West High each held their spots.

West High (3-0) remained eighth in the Class 4A poll while Regina (5-1) held firm at third in Class A.

Top-ranked teams this week are Southeast Polk (4A), Cedar Rapids Xavier (3A), West Lyon (2A), OABCIG (1A), Grundy Center (A) and Don Bosco (8-player).
