Liberty High split a pair of matches at the West Des Moines Valley triangular on Saturday defeating Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 25-19, 25-18 and falling to Class 5A No. 6 West Des Moines Valley 25-16, 25-15, 17-25, 25-23.

5A No. 7 Liberty High improved to 8-2 on the season with the 1-1 performance on Saturday.

Shelby Kimm had 10 kills and Cassidy Hartman added seven in the sweep of Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln.

Sam Harvey added six kills while Chante Hardaway and Lilah VanScoyoc each had three.

Haley Hested had 13 assists in the win while Hartman had a team-high nine digs and Lauren Roman had three blocks.

In the loss to West Des Moines Valley Hartman had a team-high 18 kills while VanScoyoc and Harvey each had seven kills.

Kennedy Daugherty and Kimm each added five kills against the Tigers while Mariah Rollins had 21 assists and Hested had 18 assists.

Hartman had 13 digs and two ace serves while Addie Schmierer added 11 digs.
