Cross Country Roundup: McKane Leads West High at Loaded Steve Johnson Invite

With 10 teams ranked in the top-10 in their respective classes the 4th Steve Johnson Invite on Saturday was whos who of prep cross country powers.
In its first week back in action West High took the opportunity to see how it stacked up against some of the best teams in the state.
West High placed ninth in the Gray race with 241 points on Saturday at the Warburg College Cross Country Course in Waverly.
Class 4A fourth-ranked Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 66 points finishing two points in front of second-ranked Sioux City North.
4A No. 3 Cedar Falls was third with 71 followed by seventh-ranked Johnston with 166 and eighth-ranked Pleasant Valley with 166.
West High junior Alex McKane placed 13th to lead the Trojans finishing in a time of 15:44.9.
Sioux City North senior Jaysen Bouwers won the individual title in 15:04.
Seth Cheney finished 50th in 16:30.1 and Caden Noeller was 53rd in 16:35 for West High.
