Ashlyn Keeney placed third to help Liberty High to a third-place team finish at the 4^th Steve Johnson Invite on Saturday at the Warburg College Cross Country Course in Waverly.

Keeney finished third in a time of 18:20.1 to help the Lightning place third with 132 points.

Class 4A top-ranked Johnston had three runners in the top five and won the team title with 47 points while 4A second-ranked Linn-Mar was runner-up with 87.

Linn-Mar senior Micah Poellet won the individual title in 18:08.4, finishing more than nine seconds in front of Dubuque Hempstead freshman Keelee Leitzen who was runner-up in 18:17.5.

Liberty High had a trio of runners in the top 25 led by Keeney.

Cami Mac was 16^th in 19:14.8 while freshman Cori Mac was 25^th in 19:30.5.
