An individual runner-up finish by Annalee Bartels helped Regina to a runner-up team finish at the 4^th Steve Johnson Invitational Orange race on Saturday at the Wartburg College Cross Country Course in Waverly.

Bartels finished second behind individual champion Haley Meyer of Kee in a time of 19:25.3 as Class 1A third-ranked Regina finished with 84 points.

Class 3A ninth-ranked Davenport Assumption had three runners in the top five and won the team title with 37 points.

Regina finished two points in front of third place Dike-New Hartford and three in front of fourth place Mason City.

Sophomore Mya Whitaker joined Bartels in the top 10 placing ninth in 20:36.2 while Allison Hein was 23^rd in 21:45.9 and Natalie Franklin finished 24^th in 21:58.4.

In the boys Orange race Regina finished 13^th in the 17-team field with 296.

Davenport Assumption won the team title with 101 points while Cedar Rapids Washington was second with 106.

Joe Maley led Regina placing 51^st in 18:40.1 while freshman Riordan Smith was 53^rd in 18:43.2
