Liberty High finished third at the Linn-Mar triangular on Saturday in its return to the cross country course.

Junior Ashlyn Keeney finished runner-up to individual champion Micah Poellet of Linn-Mar as the Lightning finished with 53 points.

Class 5A second-ranked Linn-Mar won the team title with 34 points followed by Cedar Rapids Prairie with 39.

Keeney finished second in a time of 18:47.8 while freshman Cori Mac was fifth in 19:59.9.

Cami Mac placed 13^th for Liberty High in 20:36.2.
