The Solon boys climbed one spot to fifth in the latest Class 3A cross country rankings released on Wednesday by the Iowa Association of Track coaches.

Unranked to open the season, the Spartans jumped all the way to seventh in the first 3A rankings of the season and have moved up one spot each of the past two weeks to enter the top five.

Clear Creek Amana also moved up in the most recent 3A rankings climbing two spots to 12^th.

West High dropped two spots to 11^th in the 4A rankings while Liberty High dropped two spots to 12^th and City High moved down one spot to 13.

In the Class 4A girls rankings City High and Liberty High each dropped three spots. City High dropped to 10^th while Liberty High dropped to 11^th.

Solon held its spot at seventh in the Class 3A rankings and Regina moved up two spots to fourth in the Class 1A rankings.

West High junior Alex McKane is sixth in the Class 4A boys individual rankings while City High sophomore is 12^th and Liberty High senior Bowen Gryp is 29^th.

Clear Creek Amana senior Brandon Barker is the highest ranked individual in the 3A rankings at ninth while Solon senior Tyler Bilskie is 20^th and Spartan junior Gabe Hinman is 21^st.

Ashlyn Keeney remains atop the Class 4A girls individual rankings while teammate McKenzie Logan is ranked 24^th.

Solon senior Kiersten Conway is ranked 19^th in the Class 3A rankings while Clear Creek Amana sophomore Haidyn Barker is 22^nd.

Regina senior Annalee Bartels is fifth in the Class 1A rankings.
