Regina and West High each held their spots in the most recent Associated Press football poll released on Monday.

West High (2-0) remained seventh in the Class 4A poll despite not playing a game last week while Regina (2-1) held its spot at No. 3 in the Class A rankings.

After opening the season with a loss to 4A tenth-ranked Pleasant Valley and a road win at 2A Clear Lake the Regals rolled to a 62-0 win over North Cedar last Friday in its Class A opener.

Regina trails top-ranked Grundy Center and second-ranked Saint Ansgar in the Class A poll.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Southeast Polk (4A), Dallas Center-Grimes (3A), Williamsburg (2A), OABCIG (1A) and Don Bosco (8-player).
