Class 3A sixth-ranked Solon had four runners finish in the top 10 on its way to a runner-up finish in the Class B race at the 40^th annual Ballard Cross Country Invite on Monday at Ballard Country Club.

Gabe Hinman, Tyler Bilskie, Brick Kabela and Michael Yeomans all posted top-10 performances as Solon finished with 43 points.

Solon and Class 1A top-ranked Madrid each finished with 43 points with the Tigers taking the top spot via tiebreaker.

Atlantic was third with 82 points followed by 1A seventh-ranked Nodaway Valley with 102 and Nevada with 128.

Hinman led Solon by placing fourth in a time of 17:35.5 while Bilskie was fifth in 17:45.4.

Solon got top-10 finishes from a pair of freshman as Kabela placed eighth in 18:05.6 and Yeomans was 10^th in 18:09.9.
