Brandon Barker won the individual title to lift Clear Creek Amana to a runner-up team finish at the Benton Community Invitational on Saturday morning at the Williamsburg Sports Complex.

Barker finished in 17:03.7 to win the individual crown, edging Cedar Rapids Kennedy sophomore Miles Wilson by 1.5 seconds.

The first-place finish from Barker and a sixth-place performance by junior Gavin Zillyette helped Class 3A No. 14 Clear Creek Amana finish second in the team standings with 72 points.

3A ninth-ranked Mount Vernon-Lisbon won the team title with 50 points while Cedar Rapids Kennedy was third with 84 points and Cedar Rapids Jefferson was fourth with 96. Class 2A fourth-ranked Williamsburg was fifth with 99.

Clear Creek Amana had three runners finish in the top-15 as Zillyette was sixth in 17:40.9 and freshman Noah Yost was 13^th in a time of 18:02.7.

Peyton Stadler was 22^nd in 18:26.9 for the Clippers.
