Clear Creek Amana Puts Four on WAMAC West Division First Team

The big reward for a historic season at Clear Creek Amana comes next week when the Clippers make their first ever state tournament appearance at Principal Park in Des Moines.
On Friday the Clippers raked in some much-deserved individual recognition after turning in one of the best seasons in program history.
Clear Creek Amana had seven players earn WAMAC all-division honors, highlighted by four first-team selection, when the league released its postseason honors.
The four first-team selections for Clear Creek Amana were the most for any team in either division and came after the Clippers posted a 16-5 record including an 11-4 mark against WAMAC foes.
Senior outfielder Grant Jensen, junior pitcher Brock Reade and sophomore infielder Parker Smith were all unanimous first-team West Division selections while junior TJ Bollers was a first-team utility pick.
Jensen led the Clippers with a .473 batting average and eight doubles, scored 27 runs and drove in 20 runs.
Smith hit .435 with a home run and 14 RBI and led the Clippers with 28 runs scored and a .611 on-base percentage.
Reade posted a perfect 4-0 record on the mound while boasting a 2.10 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 30 innings.
The junior left-hander allowed just 21 hits and 13 walks and also secured a save.
Bollers hit .386 with a team-leading three home runs and 15 RBI and also scored 11 runs for the Clippers.
Senior pitcher Casey Ogden was named to the West Division second team while senior Tyler Schrepfer and sophomore Ben Swails were both honorable mention honorees.
Solon had five players earn East Division honors led by senior infielder Cole Arduser who was a first-team selection for the first time in his career.
Arduser led Solon with a .371 batting average, a .512 on-base percentage and 21 RBI and ranked second on the team with 22 runs scored.
Sophomore infielder Kinnick Pusteoska and eighth-grader Brett White were each named to the East Division second team.
Senior Lucas Walker and junior Carson Shive were both honorable mention picks for the Spartans.
