Softball Roundup: Fourth-ranked West Delaware Too Much For Clear Creek Amana

West Delaware swept Clear Creek Amana in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional doubleheader between ranked opponents in Manchester on Monday.
Class 4A No. 4 West Delaware won the opener 11-2 over Class 4A No. 14 Clear Creek Amana and completed the sweep with a 10-6 win in the nightcap.
West Delaware stretched its winning streak to 10 while improving to 16-4 on the season while Clear Creek Amana dropped to 10-8.
The Hawks took control early in the opener using a six-run first inning to build a 9-0 lead just two innings in.
Bailey Oelrich had two hits while Gabrielle Bedford doubled and drove in a run and Katelyn LeFleur had a hit and drove in a run. Avery Allan had a hit and scored a run for the Clippers.
Clear Creek Amana scored three runs in the first inning of the nightcap but West Delaware scored the next 10 runs on its way to a 10-6 win.
Gabrielle Bedford went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBI to pace the Clippers.
Ellie Crow had a three-run home run in the first inning to give the Clippers an early lead.
Reese Stockman went 3-for-3 with a double and Ainsley Schrock had a pair of hits.
