Softball Roundup: Regina Gets Back on Track With Win Over Cascade

Regina shook off an early deficit and got back on track with a 5-2 win over Cascade on Friday in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional game in Iowa City.
The win snapped a three-game losing skid for Regina which improved to 7-9 on the season and 7-3 in RVC play while Cascade dropped to 2-7.
Cascade took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Claudia Noonan singled with one out and scored on a two-out RBI single by Alyssa Koppes.
Regina answered with two runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Kate Milder and a sacrifice fly by Alli Clark.
The Regals then took control with a three-run fifth inning that featured an RBI double by Elly Gahan and a run-scoring single by Milder.
Emma Nibaur picked up the win for Regina striking out nine and allowing two runs, one earned, on his hits in a complete game.
