Clear Creek Amana pounded 22 hits and scored 31 runs in a season-opening doubleheader sweep of Vinton-Shellsburg on Monday in a WAMAC West Division matchup in Vinton.

Raina Henze tossed a four-inning one hitter in a 13-0 Clear Creek Amana win in the opener and the Clippers completed the sweep with an 18-6 win in the nightcap.

Ainsley Schrock, Grace Bedford and Kaitlyn LeFleur all had two hits in the opener as Clear Creek Amana won its first game under its first-year co-head coaches.

Schrock capped a big night with three hits in game two and finished with three doubles and six RBI in the doubleheader.

Bailey Olerich and LeFleur each had two hits in game two while Gabrielle Bedford finished the night with four RBI.
