Solon Senior Gnida Commits to Loras College

One of the winningest wrestlers in Solon history has found his future home.
Zeb Gnida who racked up more than 160 career wins in a Solon singlet will continue his wrestling career at NCAA Division III power Loras College.
A four-year varsity starter, Gnida won at least 32 matches in each of his seasons at Solon racking up 163 career victories.
Gnida won at least 40 matches each of the last three seasons advancing to the Class 2A state tournament each year and earning state medals in 2018 and 2019.
As a sophomore Gnida placed fourth at the 2A state meet at 120 pounds and added a sixth place medal as a junior at 132 pounds.
Last season Gnida went 45-8 and advanced to the state tournament at 152 pounds.
Loras College is coming off the most successful season in the history of the program.
The Duhawks won their first American Rivers Conference title and first NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Region championship last spring.
Loras qualified eight wrestlers for the national championship, tied for the most in Division III and was ranked second in the final 2019-2020 rankings released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
