Elly Schadler, Solon
Parents: Jeff and Angie Schadler
Siblings: Nathan Schadler
Pets: A dog named Finn
Sports/Activities: I play golf and am involved in a variety of community service events.
How did you get involved in sports?: From a young age, my dad has taught me how to play a variety of sports in hopes that I’d find a passion for a few.
Favorite moment from athletics: One of my favorite moments has to be when my teammate, Leah, convinced me to go out for golf and thought she could teach me how to play. Let’s just say that she gave up quickly and passed me over to the coaches! I’m very glad that she pushed for me to play and that we’ve been able to have lots of fun over the years.
A person that has influenced you: My parents have always been my biggest role models and supporters. They’ve inspired me to try new things and get outside of my comfort zone. I would not be the person I am today without them.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, taking my dog on walks, cooking, and exploring the outdoors.
Favorite class: A few of my favorite classes I’ve taken are Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, and Statistics.
Favorite food: I love all the carbs!
Favorite book: One of my favorite books is “My Sister’s Keeper.” I am currently reading “Small Great Things.”
Favorite movie: My favorite movie is “Safe Haven.”
How are you spending time with school closed?: I have been keeping in touch with my friends and family, finishing up a few online courses, going for walks, and playing golf.
Future plans: I will be attending Saint Ambrose University to study Nursing and Psychology.
