Senior Spotlight: Solon’s Alyse Erenberger
Senior Spotlight
Alyse Erenberger
Parents: Dan and Mary Erenberger
Siblings: Olivia and Aspen Erenberger
Sports/Activities: Over my years in high school I have participated in basketball, volleyball, soccer and archery, as well as 4H and FFA.
How did you get involved in sports?: I started out when I was little playing on the parks and recreation teams for soccer, softball and basketball because my parents signed me up for them. Soccer was my least favorite back then because I hated how the kids would always kick me instead of the ball but now in high school soccer is the one I stuck with.
Favorite moment from athletics: My favorite memory from soccer is from a super windy and rain game my junior year when some teammates and I were just sitting on the bench giggling while watching the umbrellas in the stands turn inside out in the wind.
A person that has influenced you: A person who has had a big influence on me is my dad. He has always pushed me to sign up for different sports and activities that I may not have tried otherwise. My dad has helped me become who I am today and has given me my “if you start something you have to see it through to the end” mentality.
Hobbies: Outside of school I enjoy hiking, reading and working with livestock and horses.
Favorite class: My favorite classes that I have taken are Forensic Science and Revist Iowa because I love learning about history and it was super fun trying to solve mock crimes.
Favorite food: My favorite food is pineapple or anything with pineapple in it.
Favorite book: My favorite books are probably from the Harry Potter series but I can’t pick one over the others.
Favorite movie: My favorite movie is either Captain Marvel or Mulan.
How are you spending time with school closed?: Since school has been closed I have been spending my time on my college classes, work and watching Disney + among other things.
Future plans: After I graduate I plan on attending Kirkwood Community College for two years then transferring on to the University of Wisconsin Platteville majoring in criminal justice. When I have finished college I’d like to go into policing or the FBI.
