Ellie Waterbury, Clear Creek Amana

Parents: Chris and Hollie Waterbury  

Siblings: Ajay and Andon Waterbury

Sports/Activities: I play soccer at Clear Creek Amana and club soccer with ISC. 

How did you get involved in sports?: I started in kindergarten with t-ball and soccer. I have been in sports ever since and I have been in soccer for almost 14 years now

Favorite moment from athletics: Last season playing Marion in the down pouring rain and beating them 4-2, that will always be one of my favorite moments. The game was so intense and the rain just made it ten times better!

A person that has influenced you: Coach Harding or Mr. Muhlenbruck because they have both taught me to get back up after I fall down, to keep climbing and pushing my limits

Hobbies: My hobbies outside of soccer and school events are hunting and fishing or just spending quality time with my friends

Favorite class: Definitely chemistry, and chemistry two. Mr. Muhlenbruck was the best teacher and he always had a sarcastic attitude which was always the best

Favorite food: Texas Roadhouse steak!

Favorite book: My favorite book is The Giver, by Lois Lowry

Favorite movie: There’s too many but my favorites are the Hunger Games series and Pitch Perfect movies!

How are you spending time with school closed?: I am spending a lot of time getting in shape for soccer season, and a ton of fishing!!

Future plans: Plans are to go to The University of Iowa and study elementary education, and special education
