Brauns, Christian Headline Area MVC All-Division Selections

West High and City High each had players earn first-team all-division honors when the Mississippi Valley Conference released its postseason awards on Thursday.
City High senior Keshawn Christian and West High senior Even Brauns were each unanimous first-team selections after leading their teams in scoring and rebounding this season.
Brauns highlighted a group of five Trojans to earn all-MVC honors as a unanimous first-team selection in the Valley Division.
The 6-foot-9 senior led West High with 15.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting a team-high 69 percent from the field.
Brauns also led West High with 2.4 blocks per game.
Christian was a unanimous first-team pick in the Mississippi Division after leading City High with 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
A 6-foot-3 guard, Christian shot 45 percent from the field and averaged 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game game.
West High seniors Tate Crane and Nick Pepin were both named to the Valley Division second team.
Crane averaged 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while Pepin ranked second on the team with 10 points and 3.3 assists per game.
Senior Ben Vander Leest and junior Marcus Morgan were both honorable mention picks for West High.
Liberty High senior Andre Brandon was a second-team selection in the Valley Division after leading the Lighting in scoring and rebounding for the third straight season.
The 6-foot-6 Brandon averaged 12.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game and led Liberty High with 27 steals and 18 blocked shots.
Liberty High juniors Ira Hazeltine and Kelby Telander were both honorable mention picks in the Valley Division while City High sophomore Jamari Newson and junior Keyoun Agee were named to the Mississippi Division honorable mention list.
