Boys Basketball Roundup: Liberty High Gets Back on Track With Win Over Waterloo East

Liberty High got back on track with a 68-53 win over Waterloo East on Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup in North Liberty.
The Lightning snapped a three-game losing skid and improved to 7-6 on the season with the win while Waterloo East dropped to 5-10.
Kelby Telander led three Liberty High players in double figures with 22 points while Basil Aldoss had 17 and Andre Brandon chipped in with 13.
Ira Hazeltine added seven for the Lightning.
Trevion Labeaux had 22 points and Ramir Scott added 14 to pace Waterloo East.

Regina Holds Off Durant
Masen Miller had a game-high 14 points as Regina held off Durant 45-42 in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Durant.
Regina improved to 11-3 on the season and 11-2 in RVC play while Durant had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 9-7 on the season and 8-6 in RVC play.
Josh Dutchik had nine points, Coltrae Kerschen added seven and Danny Molony and Chase Becker each had five for Regina.
Joe Lilienthal led Durant with 11 points.

Clippers Win Fourth Straight
Clear Creek Amana improved its winning streak to four with a 76-50 win over Vinton-Shellsburg on Friday in a WAMAC Conference West Division matchup in Tiffin.
The Clippers improved to 12-4 on the season and 11-4 in WAMAC play with their eighth win in their last nine games while Vinton-Shellsburg dropped to 5-9 and 4-9 in WAMAC play.
Christian Withrow led Clear Creek Amana with 18 points and six assists while Tyler Schrepfer had 17 points.
Nick O’Connor had 15 points, Brock Reade added eight points and TJ Bollers had seven points and seven rebounds.
