Clear Creek Amana Senior Stratton Commits to Kirkwood Community College

One of the most prolific scorers in the state over the past several seasons has found her future home.
Clear Creek Amana senior guard Karsyn Stratton announced on Twitter on Tuesday that she will continue her basketball career at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
“Excited to announce that I’ll be furthering my education and basketball career next year at Kirkwood,” Stratton wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point. Grateful for the opportunity and so excited to be a part of something special.”
A four-year starter for the Clippers, Stratton is on her way to averaging better than 19.6 points and finishing in the top six in scoring in Class 4A for the third consecutive season.
The 5-foot-8 Stratton is averaging 20.8 point through 12 games this season and ranks sixth in 4A in scoring.
Over her four-year career Stratton is a 19.4 point per game scorer while averaging 6.4 rebounds per game in her career.
She has scored more than 1,400 career points and is on pace to finish with more than 500 career rebounds.
This season Stratton is shooting 53 percent from the field and averaging 5.1 rebounds 2.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game to go with her 20.8 points.
Stratton has helped Clear Creek Amana to an 11-3 start this season.
