West High snapped a two-game losing skid with a 56-48 win over Linn-Mar on Friday in Iowa City.

Matayia Tellis had a game-high 18 points while Audrey Koch added 14 as West High improved to 3-3 on the season.

Linn-Mar dropped to 2-6 with the loss.

Cora Saunders had nine points and Meena Tate added eight for the Women of Troy.

Carly Printy led Linn-Mar with 14 points and Alexis Beier had 11.

West Branch Rolls Past Bellevue

West Branch rolls into the holiday break riding a winning streak after downing Bellevue 57-35 in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in West Branch.

Sasha Koenig had 16 points, nine assists and five rebounds and Taylor Thein added 13 points, two rebounds and two steals as Class 2A seventh-ranked West Branch improved to 7-2 on the season and 6-1 in RVC play.

Rylan Druecker had 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.
