Girls Basketball Roundup: West Branch Pushes Win Streak to Four

West Branch stretched its winning streak to four with a 72-24 win over Tipton on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference South Division matchup in Tipton.
Class 2A eighth-ranked West Branch improved to 4-1 on the season and 4-0 in RVC play with the win while Tipton dropped to 1-3 on the season and in conference play.
Sasha Koenig led West Branch with 21 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals.
Mackenzie Heise had 12 points and three steals and Rylan Druecker added 10 points, four assists and two steals.
Taya Young had nine points and two steals for the Bears.
West Branch will host 2A top-ranked Cascade (4-0) on Friday.

Koch Leads West High Past Western Dubuque
Audrey Koch poured in a game-high 24 points to lead Class 5A tenth-ranked West High to a 53-40 win over Western Dubuque in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup on Tuesday at West High.
West High improved to 2-1 with the win while Western Dubuque dropped to 2-2 with its second consecutive loss.
Matayia Tellis had nine points and six rebounds while Cora Saunders added nine points.
Freshman Meena Tate had four points, six assists and four steals and Anna Prouty had a team-high seven rebounds.

Solon Wins Second Straight
Solon won its second straight game after an 0-2 start rolling to a 60-12 victory over Independence on Tuesday in Solon.
Makinley Levin led three players in double figures with 17 points as Solon improved to 2-2 on the season.
The Spartans bolted to a 40-12 halftime lead while putting up a season-high point total.
Kaia Holtkamp had 12 points, Jenna LaDage had 10 and Hilary Wilson added nine for the Spartans.
