The West High girls swimming team continued its impressive season with a dominant performance at the Mississippi Valley Conference Super Meet on Saturday.
West High won six events and outdistanced runner-up Cedar Falls by more than 150 points to claim its second consecutive MVC title at the Linn-Mar Aquatic Center in Marion.
The Women of Troy got a pair of individual titles from junior Aurora Roghair and won two relays while rolling up 460 points.
West High showed its talent with four individual titles and used its depth to pull away, placing in the top five in every event and posting a top-three finish in nine events.
Cedar Falls was second with 309 followed by Linn-Mar with 282 and Dubuque Wahlert with 261. City High was sixth with 146 points.
Roghair set meet records in both the 100 and 500 freestyle events and was part of a pair of both West High winning relay teams that each set meet records while earning MVC Valley Division athlete of the year honors for the second consecutive season.
She won the 100 freestyle in 51.99 and took the 500 freestyle in a 4:57.35 that broke her own meet record set last season by more than five seconds.
Sophomore Scarlet Martin won the 100 butterfly in a meet-record time and was second in the 50 freestyle.
Roghair and Martin were both part of the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams that set meet records.
