West Branch Guard Koenig Commits to Bradley

Sasha Koenig got to play one season alongside her older sister during her prep career.
The younger Koenig announced on Saturday that won’t be the only time the sisters are teammates.
Koenig, a junior at West Branch, verbally committed to Bradley University on Saturday where she will join her older sister Tatum.
“I am super excited and blessed to announce that I have verbally committed to Bradley University to continue my academic and basketball career alongside my sister Tatum!,” Sasha Koenig wrote on Twitter.
Sasha Koenig averaged 11.2 points per game two years ago as a freshman in her lone season playing alongside her sister in the Bear backcourt.
Last season Koeing flourished after taking over the point guard role from her older sister, averaging a team-high 16.6 points per game while directing West Branch to a 15-5 record.
The 5-foot-5 Koenig also averaged 4.6 rebounds per game and led the Bears with 4.4 assists and 2.6 steals her game.
Tatum Koenig is a sophomore at Bradley where she averaged 5 points and 2.2 assists per game last season.
Tatum Koenig took over as the team’s starting point guard midway through the season and started each of the final 15 games averaging 6.1 points and 2.6 assists per game during that stretch.
Bradley was 20-10 last season including 10-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
