Boys Cross Country Roundup: Gryp Leads Liberty High at Jim Boughton Invitational

Liberty High junior Bowen Gryp finished runner-up in a school-record time of 16:24 at the Jim Boughton Cross Country Invitational on Thursday at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.
The runner-up finish by Gryp helped Liberty High place sixth in the team standings with 144 points.
Class 4A top-ranked Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 20 points followed by No. 13 Western Dubuque with 70 points and 3A No. 9 Dubuque Wahlert was third with 84.
Jordan Robinson placed 26th in 17:53 and Henry Krain was 27th in 17:55 for Liberty High.
Ryan Winger of Dubuque Hempstead won the individual title in 15:45.
