Rowan Boulter finished 15 out of 200 runners to help City High to a 10th place team finish at the 14th Heartland Cross Country Classic on Saturday at Central College in Pella.

Boulter placed 15th in a time of 19:47.7 as City High finished with 275 team points.

Fremont (Nebraska) won the team title with 124 points while 4A top-ranked Johnston was second with 139 points and Papillion-La Vista South (Nebraska) was third with 145.

4A No. 4 Waukee was fourth with 160 points followed by 3A No. 3 Dallas Center-Grimes with 195 and 3A top-ranked Ballard with 196.

Lilly Reynolds was 31st in a time of 20:19 and Iris Wedemeyer was 46th in 20:36 for the Little Hawks.

West High and City High Finish 12th and 13 in Boys Race

West High finished 12th and City High was 13th in the 27-team Heartland Cross Country Classic on Saturday at Central College in Pella.

The Trojans finished with 327 points to edge City High by 13 points for 12th while Class 4A second-ranked Dubuque Hempstead won the team title with 90 points.

Lincoln Southwest (Nebraska) was second with 97, Millard West (Nebraska) was third with 120 followed by Edina (Minnesota) with 137 and top-ranked West Des Moines Dowling with 167.

Nicolo Schianchi placed 14th in 16:52 to lead West High while teammate Alex McKane was 24th in 17:04.6

Lance Smith was 57th for City High in 17:27.5 while was 59th in Mitchell Wilkes 17:28.7.
