Clear Creek Amana had four runners in the top 10 on its way to winning the team title at the Lancer Invitational on Tuesday in Eldridge.

Brandon Barker won the individual title in 16:54 as Clear Creek Amana won the team title with 32 points.

Liberty High was second with 49 points followed by Bettendorf with 68 and host North Scott with 75.

Gavin Zillyette was fifth in 17:22 while Jack Sexton and Nick O’Connor placed seventh and eighth respectively to help the Clippers to the team title.

Caleb Alcorn was 11th in a time of 17:40 for the Clippers.

Liberty High had three runners in the top 10 in a runner-up finish.

Jack Kinzer was fourth in 17:09 while Peter Woodward was ninth in 17:34 and Caleb Schillinger was 10th in 17:34.

Barker Leads CCA at Lancer Invite

Clear Creek Amana freshman Haidyn Barker placed fourth to lead Clear Creek Amana to a sixth-place team finish at the Lancer Invite in Eldridge on Tuesday.

Barker finished in a time of 20:52 just 47 seconds off the pace of individual champion Bella D’Antico of Pleasant Valley.

Bettendorf won the team title with 33 points followed by Pleasant Valley with 64, North Scott with 76, Central DeWitt with 109 and Davenport Central with 126.

Clear Creek Amana placed sixth with 138.

Emily Coleman was 25th in a time of 22:43 while Kayla Jiras placed 32nd in a time of 23:34 for the Clippers.
