Clear Creek Amana rallied from a two sets to none deficit to earn a 18-25, 25-27, 25-22, 25-12, 16-14 win over Benton Community on Tuesday in a WAMAC West Division matchup in Van Horne.

Class 4A No. 10 Clear Creek Amana improved to 5-3 on the season and 2-0 in WAMAC West play with the win while Benton Community dropped to 6-4 and 1-1 in WAMAC action.

Hailey Pollock led Clear Creek Amana with 22 kills while Calia Clubb added 20 kills and 20 digs for the Clippers.

Cheyaenne Bunch had 29 assists in the win while Gabrielle Bedford had 33 digs and Lauren Riggle added 17 digs in the win.

Liberty High Wins Five-Set Thriller

Class 5A ninth-ranked Liberty High remained unbeaten with a 25-17, 23-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13 win over Cedar Rapids Kennedy in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division matchup on Tuesday in North Liberty.

Liberty High improved to 7-0 on the season and 2-0 in MVC Valley Division play while Cedar Rapids Kennedy dropped to 1-8 on the year and 0-2 in MVC matches.

LeeAnn Potter led Liberty High with 12 kills while Cassidy Hartman had 11 kills and Sydney Woods added eight kills.

Shelby Kimm had seven kills as seven different Liberty High players had at least four kills in the win.

Rylee Fay had 24 assists and Hailey Hested had 20 assists in the win while Fay and Hartman each had three ace serves.

Addie Schmierer had a team-high 16 digs and Potter had 15 digs for the Lightning.
