City High posted a perfect score on its way to the team title at the Hillcrest Academy Early Bird on Tuesday in Kalona.

Rowan Boulter won the individual title in 20:29.48 as the Little Hawks had the top five finishers while winning the team title with 15 points.

Cedar Rapids Jefferson was second with 81 points followed by Highland with 82 and Washington with 94.

Lilly Reynolds was runner-up in 21:17.37 followed by Erin Anderson in 22:28.49 and Lucy Corbin in 22:37.35.

Julia Veit placed fifth in 22:40.28 while Natalie Kuhlman was seventh in 23:19.1 and Tatum Frazier was 10th in 23:50.23 for City High.

City High Boys Runner-up at Hillcrest Academy Early Bird

City High had three runners in the top six and finished second at the Hillcrest Academy Early Bird on Tuesday in Kalona.

Evan McElroy finished runner-up in a time of 18:23.42 to help City High place second with 42 points, four points behind team champion Cedar Rapids Jefferson.

Wapello was third with 88, Washington was fourth with 107 and Winfield-Mount Union was fifth with 126.

Matt Taylor placed fifth in 18:44.52 while Joe Fischer was sixth in 18:47.8.

Noah Weaver added an 11th place finish in a time of 19:03.83.
