Over the past several seasons Cam Miller has earned a reputation as one of the top pitchers in the state.

Miller continued to build on that stellar reputation on Thursday.

The Solon junior earned WAMAC East Division first-team honors for the second consecutive season on Thursday when the league released its postseason honors.

Miller was a unanimous first-team selection as a utility player, the second consecutive year he landed in one of the three utility spots on the East Division first team.

Led by Miller and senior second baseman Chris McSweeney the Spartans had five players earn WAMAC honors while Clear Creek Amana had six players honored by the conference.

Miller went 6-4 with a .91 ERA and hit a team-high .347 with 21 RBI on his way to being a unanimous first-team East Division pick.

The right-hander struck out 110 and had three saves in a team-high 69 innings this season.

McSweeney earned first team honors for the first time this season after hitting .339 with a team-high 23 RBI during his senior season.

A unanimous first-team pick as an infielder, McSweeney ranked second on the team with 42 hits and 25 runs.

Senior catcher Adam Bock was a second-team selection for the second straight season while juniors Jax Flynn and Lucas Walker were honorable mention picks.

Clear Creek Amana senior Camden Smyka was a unanimous first-team West Division pick as an infielder after leading the Clippers with a .377 batting average, 24 RBI and 27 stolen bases.

Smyka also posted a 3-5 record and 2.86 ERA with 54 strikeouts in a team-leading 51 1/3 innings.

Freshmen Sam Young and Ben Swails and junior Grant Jensen were all second-team picks in the West Division.

Junior Casey Ogden and sophomore Brock Reade both earned honorable mention honors for the Clippers.
