Baseball Roundup: Eagle Leads West Branch in Rout of Camanche

Trey Eagle did it all on Thursday to lead West Branch past Camanche.
Eagle struck out eight in a one-hit shutout and went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs as in a 10-0, five-inning win over the Indians in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in West Branch.
West Branch improved to 9-4 on the season and 9-3 in RVC play while Camanche dropped to 10-6 and 9-4 in conference play.
Eagle allowed just one baserunner on a one-out single by Zach Irwin in the second inning and needed just 64 pitches to navigate the five-inning shutout.
Seven different Bears had a hit as West Branch finished with 11 hits in the win.
Brady Lukavsky went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs and two RBI while Matt Paulsen had two hits and scored twice.
Pete Espensen had a hit, drove in two runs and scored twice while Tanner Lukavsky had a hit and scored two runs and Matt Whaley had a hit and scored a run.
