Davenport Assumption secured a spot at the state tournament for the 13th consecutive season on Monday with a 3-0 win over Regina in the Class 1A, Region 8 title game in Davenport.

Three different players scored goals as top-ranked and three-time defending 1A champion Davenport Assumption improved to 17-1 on the season.

Carly King, Livy Lansing and Lexi Moore all had goals for Assumption which built a 3-0 halftime lead.

Regina finished the season 8-11 and had a string of seven consecutive state tournament appearances come to an end.

West High Falls at West Des Moines Dowling

West High had a five-match winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss to seventh-ranked West Des Moines Dowling in the Class 3A, Region 4 title match on Monday in West Des Moines.

West Des Moines Dowling improved to 13-3 with the win and returns to the state tournament for the third consecutive season.

West High ends it season 8-11.

The Women of Troy opened the season with eight consecutive losses but won eight of its final 10 to reach the regional title match.
