Clear Creek Amana kept its season alive on Thursday with a runner-up team finish at a Class 3A

Sectional golf meet at Amana Colonies Golf Course in Amana.

Pella won the team title with a 326 and Clear Creek Amana finished with a 347 to edge Oskaloosa by a single stroke for second.

Clear Creek Amana junior Brandon McCarty fired a 75 to finisher runner-up behind Knoxville sophomore Tyler Vaske who shot a 71 to win the individual title.  

With the runner-up finish Clear Creek Amana qualified for the 3A District meet at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa on May 16.

GIRLS

City High Runner-up At Triangular

City High finished runner-up at the Davenport West triangular on Thursday at Emeis Golf Course in Davenport.

The Little Hawks shot a 226 while Bettendorf won the team title with a 188.

Lauryn Varo fired a 53 to lead the Little Hawks while Emily Knoche shot a 55 and Grace Bormann added a 58.

Shannyn Vogler of Bettendorf shot a 37 to earn medalist honors.
