Golf Roundup: Solon Third at WAMAC East Divisional

Solon had a pair of golfers finish in the top 11 on its way to a third-place team finish at the WAMAC East Divisional meet on Monday at Lake Macbride Golf Course in Solon.
Stetson McIlreavy and Lucas TePoel each shot a 41 to pace Solon which finished with a 167.
Central DeWitt won the team title with a 159 followed by West Delaware with a 163.
Solon finished a stroke in front of fourth-place Maquoketa and was two strokes better than fifth-place Marion.
McIlravy placed seventh to lead Solon while TePoel finished 11th. Joe Stahle shot a 42 and Jake Van Roekel carded a 43 for the Spartans.
Dylan McAleer of Central DeWitt earned medalist honors with a 37 while Brandon Larsen of West Delaware also shot a 37 to earn runner-up medalist honors.

McCarty Fifth at MVC Divisional
Clear Creek Amana junior Brandon McCarty shot a 39 to place fifth at the WAMAC West Divisional at Tara Hills Golf Course on Monday.
The Clippers finished with a 178 to place seventh in the team standings while host Benton Community won the team title with a 148.
Ryan Navara shot a 44 for Clear Creek Amana while Isaac Quinn fired a 47 and Cole Liebe and Kaden Gisleson each carded a 48.

City High Ninth, West High 10th at MVC Super Meet
City High edged West High by a stroke to finish ninth at the Mississippi Valley Conference Super Meet on Monday at the Meadows Golf Course in Dubuque.
City High shot a 418, one stroke better than 10th place West High while Liberty High was 12th at the 16-team meet with a 435.
Dubuque Wahlert had three players finish in the top five on its way to the team title with a 337 while Cedar Falls was runner-up with a 354 and Dubuque Senior was third with a 355.
Kaylee Paulsen shot a 100 to lead City High while Emily Knoche fired a 104 and April Wilson and Lauryn Varo each carded a 107.

Greathouse Runner-up at WAMAC West Divisional
Clear Creek Amana junior Emily Greathouse shot a 44 to earn runner-up medalist honors at the WAMAC West Divisional meet on Monday at Stone Creek Golf Course in Williamsburg.
The runner-up finish from Greathouse helped Clear Creek Amana shoot a 215 to place seventh in the team standings.
Ellie Hagen recorded a personal best 57 for the Clippers.
Solon Third at WAMAC East Divisional
Solon placed third at the WAMAC East Divisional on Monday at Dyersville Golf and Country Club.
Central DeWitt won the team title with a 185 followed by Maquoketa with a 191 and Solon with a 208.
Reegan Helle shot a 50 to lead Solon while Camryn Keith fired a 51 and Leah Woessner added a 53.
