West High won seven events and cruised to the team title at the 70th annual Don Newell Relays on Tuesday in Ottumwa.

Peyton Steva won the 100 and 100 hurdles and ran on West High’s winning 4×100 relay as the Women of Troy rolled up 180 points to easily outdistance runner-up Ottumwa.

Steva won the 100 hurdles in 15.07 and the 100 in 12.51 and teamed with Celestina Nuro-Gyina, Matayia Tellis and Amy Liao to win the 4×100 in 51.47.

Amy Liao won the 400 hurdles in 1:09.41, Alexie Little won the discus with a toss of 123-0 and Salima Omari won the shot put title with a mark of 39-2.

West High added a title in the 4×800 as Lucy Westemeyer, Erin Elizalde, Sara Alaya and Emma Kearney placed first in 10:41.22.
