The Clark Weaver Relays gave Solon got a shot to see how it stacked up against some of the top 4A track programs in Eastern Iowa.

Solon was more than up to the task on Saturday.

The Spartans won four events and finished runner-up in three others on its way to a runner-up team finish at the 14-team meet at Linn-Mar Stadium.

Erin Kerkhoff won the 200 and 400 and finished runner-up in the 100 as Solon rolled up 91 points to finish 21 behind host Linn-Mar.

Liberty High was third with 71 points, Pleasant Valley was fourth with 63 while Bettendorf was fifth with 62.

West High placed seventh with 33 points and Regina was 11th with 11.

Kerhoff won the 200 in 26.67 and added a title in the 400 in 58.19.

Solon got a title from Gabbi Bullard in the 400 hurdles and Bullard, Rachael Nelson, Shawna Lindemann and Peyton Sands teamed up to win the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:08.34.

Emma Bock was runner-up in the 800 and joined Kerkhoff, Abby Smith and Taylor Ryan on the Spartans’ 4×400 relay team that added a runner-up finish.

Liberty High got titles from Ashlyn Keeney in the 800, Cami Mac in the 3,000 and Miranda Jones in the discus.

Taylor Cannon added a runner-up finish in the 100 hurdles for the Lightning while the foursome of Cannon, Elizabeth Davis, Jada Murphy and Mie-Dazzie Caston-Gonzalez finished runner-up in the shuttle hurdle relay.

Peyton Steva won the 100 hurdles in 14.71 to pace West High and Alexie Little was runner-up in the discus with a toss of 119-0.

Jaedynn Evans cleared 5-0 in the high jump to finish runner-up to lead Regina.

City High Runner-up at Draxton-Stiers/Wilkinson Invitational

City High won four relay titles and finished runner-up at the Draxton-Stiers/Wilkinson Invitational on Saturday at Kingston Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Lilly Reynolds added a title in the 400 hurdles as City High rolled up 108 points to finish behind Cedar Rapids Prairie which won the team title with 136 points.

Host Cedar Rapids Kennedy was third with 95 points followed by Dubuque Hempstead with 84.

City High won the 4×200, 4×400, 4×800 and shuttle hurdle relays on its way to the runner-up finish.

Emma Cooper Azzura Sartini-Rideout, Ayana Lindsey and CeCe Kelly-Harvey won the 4×200 in a time of 1:49.57 while Kelly-Harvey, Lindsey, Peyton Naeve and Caroline Schaeckenbach won the 4×400 in 4:08.27.

Lucy Corbin, Jae Dancer, Rowan Boulter and Aly Hecker teamed up to win the 4×800 in 10:28.43 and the foursome of Te’Nia Ansley, Jordan Sekafetz, Mia DePrenger and Schaeckenbach won the shuttle hurdle in 1:06.98.

Reynolds added a title in the 400 hurdles in 1:10.39 for City High.
