Liberty High and Clear Creek Amana each won a pair of events en route to top 10 team finishes at the Denny White Relays on Thursday in Mount Pleasant.

Clear Creek Amana got an individual title from Nick O’Connor in the 1,600 and added a win in the 4×800 while placing ninth at the 22-team, two-division meet with 65 points.

Drake Wood won the 400 and ran on the Lightning’s victorious 4×400 relay team as Liberty High placed fifth with 90 points.

Host Mount Pleasant won the Class A team title with 157.5 points.

O’Connor won the 1,600 in 4:37.62 and joined Kaden McAreavy, Tom Johnson and Jack Sexton to win the 4×800 in 8:21.19.

Alex Figueroa was runner-up in the 100 in 11.62 and Brandon Barker was third in the 3,200 in 10:02.93.

Woody won the 400 in 50.66 to pace Liberty High and teamed up with Bo Gryp, Evan Chandler and Kelby Telander to win the 4×400 relay in 3:30.96.

The Liberty High 4×800 relay team of Jack Kinzer, Henry Krain, Caleb Schillinger and Ethan O’Donnell and a runner-up finish in 8:47.02.
