Girls Track Roundup: Solon Wins 10 Events While Winning Team Title at Williamsburg Invite

Solon won 10 events on its way to the team title at the Raider Invitational on Tuesday in Williamsburg.
Five different Solon athletes won individual titles as the Spartans won five relays while rolling up 150 points to outdistance runner-up Williamsburg by 14 points for the team title.
Makinley Levin won a title in the 100 in 13.28 and Erin Kerkhoff added a title in the 200 in a time of 26.62.
Solon also got individual titles from Abby Smith in the high jump (5-0), Gabbi Bullard in the 400 hurdles (1:07.43) and Kiersten Conway in the 1,500 (5:24.82).
The Spartans won the 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 relays with the 4×400 foursome of Taylor Ryan, Emma Bock, Smith and Kerkhoff setting a meet record in a time of 4:06.01.
Solon also won the sprint medley and discus medley relays.

Regina Finishes Third at West Liberty Invite
Josie Voss and Annie Gahan won individual titles to lead Regina to a third-place finish at the West Liberty Invitational on Tuesday in West Liberty.
Voss won the 3,000 in a time of 11:45.26 and Gahan added a title in the 400 hurdles in 1:09.95 as Regina rolled up 83 points.
Anamosa won the team title with 115 points followed by Tipton with 91. Clear Creek Amana was fifth with 77 points while West Branch was eighth with 36 points.
The Clear Creek Amana foursome of Emma Mathis, Kayla Jiras, Liz Schultz and Cileigh Smiddy teamed up to win the shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:14.5 to pace the Clippers.
Kaylie Barker added a runner-up finish in the 1,500 in 5:28.4, Mathis was second in the 100 hurdles in 16.7 and Ainsley Schrock was second in the discus with a toss of 128-8 for Clear Creek Amana.
Regina got a runner-up finish from Annalee Bartels in the 3,000 in a time of 11:55.29 and the Regal shuttle hurdle relay team of Emma Sueppel, Olivia Clark, Gahan and Abby Clark was second in 1:16.56.
West Branch was led by Jaylen Votroubek who finished second in the 400 hurdles in 1:10.36.
