The West High boys tennis team opened the season with an impressive 9-0 win over Dubuque Wahlert on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference match in Dubuque.

West High won all nine matches in straight sets while improving to 1-0 on the season and in MVC play.

City High Falls to Waterloo West

Waterloo West knocked off City High 7-2 on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet in Iowa City.

City High got a win from Sean Phillip at No. 5 singles and a victory from Phillips and teammate Anshul Gowda at No. 3 doubles.
