Girls Basketball Roundup: West High Keeps Rolling With Win at Dubuque Wahlert

Regina kept its season alive on Saturday with a 49-26 win over Wapello in a Class 2A, Region 5 opening round matchup in Wapello.
The Regals jumped to a 16-6 lead after the opening quarter and improved to 9-10 on the season with the win.
Wapello closed the year 12-8.
Regina advances to take on River Valley Conference South Division rival West Branch on Tuesday in the Region 5 quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Class 5A No. 10 West High Keeps Rolling
A quick turnaround did little to slow down streaking West High.
After downing Cedar Rapids Kennedy on Friday night Class 5A tenth-ranked West High pushed its winning streak to eight with a 57-22 win over Dubuque Wahlert in a Mississippi Valley Conference makeup game on Saturday afternoon in Dubuque.
Audrey Koch had 19 points and five rebounds as West High improved to 16-3 on the season while Dubuque Wahlert dropped to 5-15 with the loss.
Lauren Zacharias had seven points, seven assists and three steals for West High while Matayia Tellis had nine points and three steals.
Cailyn Morgan added eight points, six rebounds and three assists and Ingersoll-Weng had six steals.
