Girls Basketball Roundup: Regina Wins Second Straight

A little time away couldn’t stop the momentum for Regina.
In its first game action in nearly a week Regina held Mid-Prairie to seven points in the second half in a 39-26 win over the Golden Hawks in a rescheduled River Valley Conference South Division matchup on Saturday in Iowa City.
Annie Gahan had 12 points and six rebounds as Regina improved to 7-9 and 7-8 in RVC play with its second consecutive win.
Elly Gahan added eight points and seven rebounds and Kennedy Wallace had nine points for Regina.
Claire Gaarde had four points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals and Sam Greving had four points and seven rebounds in the win.
Mid-Prairie dropped to 10-7 and 9-7 in RVC play with the loss.

Solons Drops Non-conference Contest to Fairfield
Solon fell to Fairfield 49-37 on Saturday in a non-conference contest in Solon.
Kaia Holtkamp had 12 points and Makinley Levin added nine points and seven rebounds as Solon dropped to 2-15 on the season.
Jenna LaDage and Jada Buffington each had five points and Abby Smith had five rebounds for Solon.
Fairfield improved to 11-6 with the won.
