Girls Basketball Roundup: West High Stays Unbeaten With Win at 4A No. 6 Western Dubuque

West High remained undefeated with a 64-50 win over Class 4A sixth-ranked Western Dubuque on Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Epworth.
Audrey Koch poured in a game-high 26 points as 5A seventh-ranked West High improved to 3-0 on the season with its third consecutive win over a ranked team.
Cailyn Morgan added 16 points and Lauren Zacharias had 12 for the Women of Troy.
Western Dubuque was led by Lindsey Eimers with 18 points and Karlie Fagan with 16 as the Bobcats dropped to 2-3 on the season.

West Branch Pulls Away From Tipton to Stay Perfect
West Branch built an early lead and used a strong finish to stay perfect on the season with a 60-44 win at Tipton on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference South Division contest.
Taya Young scored 19 points and had two rebounds as West Branch improved to 4-0 on the season and 4-0 in RVC play.
Sasha Koenig added 17 points three assists and two rebounds and Taylor Thein chipped in with nine points and a steal for West Branch.
Tipton dropped to 0-3 on the season and in RVC play.

Regina Stymied in Road Trip to Mid-Prairie
Mid-Prairie held Regina scoreless for more than 10 minutes to open the game while building a 17-0 lead and never let Regina get even in a 51-44 win on Tuesday in Wellman.
Regina dropped to 1-2 on the season and in River Valley Conference play with its second consecutive loss while Mid-Prairie improved to 4-0.
Mid-Prairie led by as many as 18 points in the fourth quarter before Regina closed the game on a 19-8 run.
Myah Lugar had 17 points and six rebounds to lead Mid-Prairie while Shae Becker added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Golden Hawks.

Solon Holds Off Independence
Solon used a balanced offensive attack that featured five players with at least seven points to hold off Independence 51-44 in a WAMAC East Division matchup on Tuesday in Independence.
Freshman Makinley Levine had a team-high 13 points as Solon improved to 2-3 on the season while Independence dropped to 0-4.
Abby Smith and Jenna LaDage each had nine points for Solon while Saige Hauer had eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Sara Ruzicka added seven points and LaDage had five rebounds, four assists and four steals.
