Clear Creek Amana erased a two-point halftime deficit to defeat Central DeWitt 61-59 in its season opener on Tuesday in Tiffin.
Christian Withrow scored 17 points and Nick O’Connor added 15 as the Clippers rallied from a 29-27 halftime hole.
Sophomore TJ Bollers added 14 points and nine rebounds and Tyler Schrepfer had eight points, five rebounds and four assists for the Clippers.

Cornwell Leads West Branch Past Durant
An all-stater and the top scorer in Class 2A last season West Branch senior point guard Beau Cornwell appears to have picked up right where he left off a year ago.
Cornwell poured in a game-high 23 points and added nine rebounds and eight assists as West Branch rolled to a 77-52 win over Durant on Tuesday in the season opener for both teams in West Branch.
Cornwell led three scorers in double figures as West Branch opened its season with a River Valley Conference South Division win.
Senior Brady Lukavsky and freshman Thomas Gould each had 15 points as West Branch shot 56 percent from the field.
Lukavsky added four assists in the win while Ted Bridges had nine points and three steals.

Regina Holds Off Tipton in Opener
Regina built a seven-point lead after three quarters and held off a late Tipton rally to earn a 64-62 win over the Tigers in a River Valley Conference South Division contest on Tuesday at Regina.
Junior guard Masen Miller had 20 points and five rebounds and senior Bryce Barnett had 14 points as Regina won its season opener.
Five Regals had at least seven points in the win as Luke Stein and Scott Arendt each had eight and Ashton Cook had seven.
Arendt had a team-high six rebounds and added three assists while sophomore Alec Wick had four assists and two steals.

Solon Drops Opener at Center Point-Urbana
Solon fell to Center Point-Urbana 55-53 in the season opener for both teams on Tuesday in Center Point.
Carson Yakish had a team-high 16 points for Solon while AJ Coons added 10 points, five assists and four rebounds for the Spartans.
Cam Miller had eight points, 10 rebounds and three steals and Carson Shive chipped in with nine points, five rebounds and two assists.
