Swimming Roundup: West High Rolls Past Muscatine in Season-opening Dual

West High opened the swimming season in impressive fashion on Tuesday night with a 125-45 dual win over Muscatine.
The Trojans won 10 events, including all three relays on their way to the season-opening win at Muscatine.
West High had five different individual champions and finished in the top two spots in all three relays.
Jordan Christiansen and James Pinter each won a pair of individual titles while Nikolas Sung, Val Trussov and Any Luo each added events wins for West High.
Christiansen won the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke while Pinter claimed titles in the 100 free and 100 backstroke.
Sung won the 200 freestyle, Luo won the 500 freestyle and Trussov won the 100 butterfly.

City High Drops Opener to Pleasant Valley
Pleasant Valley won 10 events on its way to a 132-38 dual win over City High on Tuesday in the season opener for both squads at Mercer Park Aquatic Center in Iowa City.
Sophomore Isaac Weigel paced City High winning the 500 freestyle in 4:48 and adding a runner-up finish in the 50 freestyle in 22.71.
Brennan Hill added a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke in 1:02.78 for City High.
